Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hey friends……it’s Michelle back with you with a new and gorgeous colour combination. I used a beautiful trio of soft shades of pinks and coral and with the gorgeous addition of gold top them off! Oh and did I mention that this card is made with 100% embossing? ?? Yup….no stamping whatsoever, just lots of gorgeous heat embossing! Let’s get to it, shall we!
100% Embossing
- Start by taking a small piece of white cardstock and emboss each of the 4 different powders separately. Dappled Pink, Dappled Peach, Dappled Coral and Metallic Gold. Next cut each into 4 strips measuring .5″ each. These strips will fit perfectly onto the strip map that is pre-made to attach the strips to. This map makes it quick and easy to lay down the strips evenly.
- Start with gold as the largest strip in the center, bordering the white square. Next add Dappled Peach, the Dappled Pink, Dappled Coral and finish it off with another piece of gold. You will have the end of the strips hanging off the edges of the map, simply trim these off with a pair of scissors. Before adding all of the strips the the map (which is printed on thin printer paper, so no extra bulk is added), I trimmed it down to 4×5.25″ I did realize in the end that I cut off a bit too much on one side, so the gold corners are a bit uneven….oopsy.
- Cut a square measuring 2 1/8″ for the center and attach with liquid adhesive. Head emboss the large sentiment in Metallic Gold on white cardstock and the smaller sub-sentiment on white as well. Diecut 2 more blank Hey and stack the 3 of the together for dimension.
- Adhere the background to a white A2 cardbase and attach the large stacked Hey sentiment and add the smaller sentiment using foam squares. Add a few gold half pearls and that’s it.
