A Clean and Simple Night On the Town

  1. To begin, ink smoosh 2 pieces of white cardstock, by going direct to the cardstock with your embossing ink pad, making sure to get a good coverage with the ink. On 1 piece sprinkle on Glass of Fizz and the other add Sparkling Sunset. Heat emboss both of these, but be sure to heat them from below as they have glitte rin them. Any powders with sparkle or a chunkier texture to them, you always want to heat them from underneath the cardstock, as if you heat them from above, the air from the heat emnbossing tool will blow the glitter and chunky pieces off your paper.
  2. Once they are heat set allow them to cool (this doesn’t take too long) and cut out each sheet using a small hexagon die. I kept cutting the entire piece of cardstock, which was cut to 4.25×5.5″, as I wasn’t quite sure how many I was going to need of each to use to achieve my final design.
  3. Take a piece of smooth white cardstock cut to 4×5.25″ and on the left side of it draw 3 vertical lines using a fine point black liner pen and a ruler, making sure to leave enough room between each line for the diecut hexagons. Add your hexagons to each of the lines staggering them and alternating the 2 different powders. Add your sentiment using black ink to the right of the hexagons and add to your A2 cardbase.

I love the look of these 2 bright and fiery embossing powders against the stark white of the cardstock….absolutely gorgeous! This is truly a fabulous duo that I certainly wouldn’t mind going out on the town with! Don’t forget to tag WOW! in all of your colourful creations on social media, as we love to see them! Thank you so much for stopping by today and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
