A Pastel Trio

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey WOW! friends! It’s Michelle back today with a new and fabulous instalment of Colour Combinations. Today I am using one of the new and gorgeous trios from WOW! called Pastel Pearls. This was kind of a no brainer that they would be fab together, because like bread and butter, they were made to go together. Follow along as I share a pastel trio that is truly beautiful and delicate. Let’s get to it, shall we!

A Pastel Trio

  1. Take 3 pieces of white cardstock big enough to cut out the bows and go direct with your embossing ink pad to the paper and ensure a full coverage with the ink. Sprinkle on 1 of the Pastel Pearl embossing powders, Hint of Blue, Hint of Pink and Hint of Green, on each piece and heat set with your heat embossing tool. Set these aside.
  2. Die cut your background using a coverplate of your choice. Trim down 1/4″ on all 4 sides. Adhere to the A2 pink cardbase.
  3. Diecut each of the heat embossed pieces of cardstock using a bow die and add the diecut bows going down the middle of the background already added to the cardbase. Be sure to put the Hint of Blue on top, Hint of Pink in the middle and then Hint of Green on the bottom.
  4. Add a foiled or heat embossed sentiment of your choice and then a scattering of pearls or gems of your choosing to finish it off.

These powders are truly beautiful! They have a lovely delicate feeling to them, especially when heat embossed on white cardstock, which I thought would be perfect with these bows. I really wish you could see how beautiful these are, as they can be a bit hard to see in photos….so delicate and beautiful! With that being said, they look equally amazing on a dark cardstock too! Powders like this are kind of like a 2 for 1, since they look different on dark cardstock compared to white you kind of get double the amount of powders lol. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day. Until next time 🙂

Michelle Burnier

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
