Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey crafty friends….it’s Michelle back with you with a new and fabulous colour combination! Now when I say new colour combo, I really do mean new, as this week I am using one of the brand new arrivals from the latest release……the Speckled Pearls Trio and it’s a beautiful trio of green and blues. Continue reading to find out all about how I created a Speckled Pearls Birthday.
A Speckled Pearls Birthday
- Take 3 pieces of white cardstock and 3 pieces of black cardstock cut to approx. half of an A2 size and go direct with the embossing ink pad to the cardstock and cover each piece as evenly as possible with ink. Sprinkle on each of the powders on the ink covered cardstock….Speckled Egg, Speckled Sage and Speckled Turquoise on each of the white and the black. 1 colour on black and white each, so you will have 2 for each embossing powder. Heat the powders to melt them and set aside.
- Diecut the background from white cardstock and then again from each of the heat embossed pieces, ensuring that each embossed panel is covered completely by half the coverplate, so that you get 6 complete circles from each panel. Be sure to keep the same diecut colours together. Add the white diecut background to an A2 cardbase.
- Start with the white cardstock embossed Speckled Egg or Turquoise and pop it up in the first empty circle using foam tape. Next add the same colour but embossed on black cardstock and adhere using liquid adhesive, so that it is flush with the background. Continue the same colour in the white and black cardstock pattern. Next in the middle row add the Speckled Sage embossed circles, but do it in the reverse order…black cardstock and then white (this should be opposite to the previous row). Continue the pattern of adding them and then add the last row, being sure to adhere them exactly the same as the first row.
- Diecut the large sentiment from black cardstock and then stamp the smaller subsentiment in black ink and add both of them to the diecut background using liquid and foam adhesive.
If you haven’t seen the new release yet and it’s an awesome one….2 new trios and thr first ever duo of powders, run don’t walk and check it out and grab yourself some new additions!
Thank you so much for stopping by today for a new colour combo. The great thing about the trios is that the colours will always go together perfectly, as that is what they are designed to do…compliment one another beautifully! Thanks again and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.
My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
