Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here. Today I am using the Three new colours of WOW! Fab Foil, ( Deepest Darkest Crimson, Peruvian Gold, and Metal Marmalade ) which work beautifully together to create this autumnal coloured card that features a stencilled background with WOW! Fab Foil.
A stencilled background with WOW! Fab Foil.
I started by placing the Falling Leaves stencil from WOW! over an autumnal coloured background which I made with ink sprays. Next I added some adhesive paste over the stencil with a palette knife, this is so I can add fab foil to the paste once it turns clear and becomes sticky. I cleaned my stencil and cut a thin strip from each of the Fab Foil whilst waiting for the paste to become clear. I started working in small areas of the leaves once the paste was ready, by sticking one of the strips over the top and pulling it off, I done this to all of the leaves before moving on to the next colour and doing the same. Once all the leaves were covered I was left with a beautifully blended foiled background.
For the focal point I die cut out some flowers from some more ink sprayed backgrounds that i had made and arranged them in front of a strip of vellum which still shows off the background and stops the flowers from getting lost into it. I folded the ends of the vellum behind the background and adhered it down with double sided tape and glued down the flowers. I used Bright White embossing powder on the sentiment which is from WOW! stamp set Happiest day. I then glued down my background to a card base.

loved the email (A STENCILLED BACKGROUND WITH WOW! FAB FOIL) received today about stecilling and foiling, but no metion of what the ‘adhesive paste’ is and it wasn’t in the supplies list. I looked on the website too – did not find it. I’d like to try this technique but need to find some adhesive paste please. Thank you. Please note: I don’t want to be bombarded with extra emails so I have opted out of the options below. The WoW emails are enough and a reply to this query please.
Unfortunately Wow does not currently sell adhesive paste. The brand that was used is Sizzix 3d adhesive although most other brands of adhesive paste will work for this technique.
