Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here and today I am bringing you some Christmas Sparkle, with this traditional looking Christmas Card.
My focus on this card is the Wow Earth Sparkles, which are a gorgeous, soft, biodegradable glitter. Which are perfect for adding some sparkle to any project. Lets Begin.
Christmas Sparkle
The Background
Starting with a piece of white card I used two colours of ink sprays and sprayed them onto the card. I blended them together by spraying them with water, this created a watercolour effect. Once I was happy I used my heat tool to dry off the background. Once it was dry I did some stamping over the top using archival ink which is a waterproof ink. Next I did some stenciling down the left hand side of the background, blending WOW embossing ink through a stencil so that I could add clear sparkle embossing powder to it. The embossing powder needs to be heat set, it’s best to do this from behind the card so that the sparkles in the embossing powder don’t blow away.
The Focal Point
This is made up with die cuts. For the foliage leaves I used different colours of green card. To make some of them sparkle I went over the top with a glue pen and added the green earth sparkle glitter. The Poinsettia flower I went around the edge with the glue pen and added the red glitter. Earth Sparkles can be adhered with anything sticky like a glue pen or even double-sided adhesive tape.
For the candle die, which comes in layers I used, WOW white card and then to build dimension from the layers I added Opaque Vanilla White embossing powder to the top layers. To give the candle a vintage look I went around the edges with some brown archival ink.
Lastly I glued down the leaves to the background and raised the candle up with foam pads before gluing on the flower.
