Create christmas ornaments with wow sparkles

I’ll apologise to all those people who aren’t quite ready for it yet, but today I’ve got a CHRISTMAS project to share with you! I’ve used my Wow Sparkles glitters to create some festive tree ornaments, and they are so sparkly that I can’t wait to see them come to life under the tree lights in a few short weeks. Here’s the YouTube video:

This is the perfect project for creating handmade Christmas gifts for your family, friends and even school teachers! If you have a Cricut machine or something similar, you can personalise the ornaments for your recipient. Which is your favourite?

Instructions: create Christmas ornaments with Wow Sparkles

  • Remove the backing sheet from an acrylic bauble, and paint with Mod Podge or other similar glue. Cover with Wow Sparkles glitter of your choice (I used Gold, Red and Green to keep things festive!) and tap off any excess.
  • Allow to dry for a couple of hours, then add another layer of Mod Podge over the top to seal in the glitter. You can repeat this again after another couple of hours for a smooth finish.
  • Remove the backing sheet from the other side of the bauble and decorate with your choice of embellishment – you could add die cuts, and heat-embossed sentiment die cuts look particularly effective.
  • Add string or ribbon in a co-ordinating colour.

Hey! I’m Jayne, or you may know me as Card Days’ Night!

I live in Chester, UK, with my husband and two young daughters, and I work as a travel lawyer – so life is pretty full on! When I’m not busy with work, kids and family life, I love nothing more than spending time in my craft room. Cardmaking is my passion but I also love planning, memory keeping and sewing.

I love to explore new places, but I’m always happiest when I’m home!
