Hello, and welcome back to the blog! Today, I am sharing a Harry Potter inspired card with Wow Embossing Fruit Puff powders! If you are new to these powders, like I am, I encourage you to have a play with them – they are so fun and different! When you heat them up, they puff up so that you’re left with a matte, textured finish. The Fruit Puff quad contains four citrussy colours – Watermelon, Banana. Cucumber and Bilberry. Harry Potter Inspired Card with Wow Embossing Fruit Puff Powders

Instructions

1. Create 4 x 3″ square panels from scrap white card stock.
2. Cover each of the square panels with embossing ink (you can use a brayer, the mixed media brush tool, or just press the squares into your embossing ink pad).
3. Cover each of the four squares with one of the four Fruit Puff powders from the Fruit Puff Quad, and set with your heat tool. The powder will turn matte, and puff up to give 3D texture.
4. Draw a shield / crest shape on to a 3″ square piece of white card and fussy cut.
5. Draw around the shield on the back of each of your Fruit Puff panels, and fussy cut.
6. Cut 4 more 3″ square panels – 2 from white card, and 2 from black card.
7. Adhere the black and white square panels to a 6″ square card base using double sided tape. Alternate between the black and white squares to create a chess board pattern.
8. Adhere each of your Fruit Puff shields to the centre of one of the squares, using foam squares.
9. Stamp, colour and fussy cut the four characters from The Greeting Farm’s Honor Students stamp set. Adhere each to the centre of a shield, using foam squares with some added liquid glue, to help adhere to the uneven surface of the puff powder.
10. Heat emboss the sentiment on to black card, using white embossing powder. Fussy cut and adhere to the centre of the card with thin foam strips.
