Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello everyone, Emilie here. Today I’m sharing with you how I made this present card and how it looks when you add Pastel Pearls to coloured cardstock. These are one of the newly released trios from WOW and are perfect for adding that hint of colour to your creations. Let’s begin.
Pastel Pearls on coloured cardstock
- Spray your cardstock with ink sprays. I went with white cardstock and pink ink spray.
- Place your cardstock into a embossing folder and run it through your embossing machine.
- Lightly swipe your embossing ink pad over your embossed background.
- Pour over the embossing powder. I used hint of blue at the top, hint of pink in the middle and hint of green at the bottom. These are the colours of the pastel pearl trio.
- Die cut out a bow from both white and coloured cardstock. My coloured cardstock choice was pink.
- I added embossing ink and then embossing powder to each of my die cuts. I used hint of blue for this. Then heat set with your heat tool. (To save on time, you can add the embossing powder to your cardstock first then die cut. ) I just find this step works better for me.
- Adhere all your pieces together. I stuck my coloured cardstock ontop of my white cardstock. Add a tag if you like. Then adhere them to your background.
- Finish with adhering your background to your card base.
