Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here. Today I am sharing with you how I decorated this wooden hanging sign, and added texture and dimension with wows ultra high embossing powders.

I started off by using acrylic paints and a sponge dabber to paint the sign, By using the sponge I was able to create a stippled effect and a nice easy blend between the colours. I choose to use colours that were similar to the embossing powders. Once the paint was dry I moved onto adding the embossing powders.
To add the embossing powder I used the wow ink pad and for the dotted areas the wow embossing pen. I began by inking up another sponge dabber with embossing ink and very lightly dabbed the ink onto the areas where I wanted the embossing powder to go. This is where you can create texture and dimension, by applying a lighter layer of ink, results in less powder sticking to the surface, creating dimension between the embossing powder and paint. The texture comes from the sponge and embossing powder. I worked one colour at a time, pouring over the embossing powder before heat setting it with my heat tool. This completes my decorated hanging sign.
