A Rainbow of PInks

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey friends…..today we are playing with all the pinks! It’s like laying amongst a sky full of pink clouds! I decided to pull out all of my pink embossing powders and 2 glitters for this. Yup…I used 18 different glitters and embossing powders! This is a true pink lovers dream! This card is full of fabulous sparkle, shine and texture and is truly like a rainbow of pinks!

A Rainbow of Pinks

  1. Cut the coverdie from white cardstock.
  2. Pick out a different pink powder or glitter for each diecut hole in the coverdie. Cut small squares from white cardstock, big enough to cover each diecut hole.
  3. Press each small square of cardstock into the embossing inkpad and sprinkle a different powder on each square. Holding each square with a pair of tweezers (to protect your fingers) heat the powders using your heat embossing tool to set them.
  4. If you use any of the glitters, cover the small square with some double sided adhesive and sprinkle on the glitters.
  5. Chose which embossed or glitter square and cut down to size to fit the openings. Add some adhesive around the back of each circle and add the chosen piece. Continue this until all of the openings are covered. Place a large acrylic block on the this for a few minutes to help it adhere.
  6. Add your diecut piece to a mini slimline cardbase cut to 6.25″x3.25″.
  7. Heat emboss your large sentiment using Ebony Super Fine powder and your smaller sub-sentiment using one of the pinks from the background. Sprinkle a little bit of black embossing powder to tie the 2 sentiments together before it is heated. Adhere the sentiments using liquid adhesive and foam tape.

I love how this showcases all of the different pinks (okay not all of them) in the WOW! range of pinks. It is a fabulous mix of Embossing Powders, Embossing Sparkles, Puff Embossing Powder, Earth Sparkles and Sparkles. It’s a pink lovers dream! I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
