Adorable Birthday Fishes!

Hello WOW! Friends! I am excited to be back and share another post for they Embossing Elegance series. Today’s card may not be overly elegant, but it is o-fish-ally adorable!

I began by stamping the fish with WOW! Embossing Ink onto Bristol smooth cardstock, and heat embossed Opaque White Embossing Powder. Then I scribble-colored the fish with dye-based markers, and loosely watercolored. TIP: The embossed image helps contain watercolor if you are a beginner or not secure in your skills. I went outside the lines with the ink, because I wanted to the color over the entire die cut image with no white edges. It’s such an easy technique!

After die-cutting the images, I decided to add more details to the fish by using the WOW! Embossing Pen to add dots of ink, and then heat embossed with new Super Fine Polished Metallic Gold.

After ink smooshing and blending the background, I stamped the bubbles with embossing ink, and heat embossed with WOW! Catherine Pooler Disco Ball powder.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment with Super Fine Polished Metallic Gold powder, die cut, ink-blended it, and adhered everything to the watercolor background before adding a card base.

What do you think? This card makes me grin! Thanks so much for joining me today for this adorable fishy birthday card. Love and crafty hugs!

Erin
