Big colour wishes

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hi crafty friends! I’m back to share a new colour combination with you, using WOW! Embossing powders. Looking back on my previous post, the colour combinations are a wee bit similar, but nonetheless still gorgeous! Let’s get started, shall we!

To start I took a 4.25×5.5 cardstock panel and smooshed my embossing ink pad over its entirety. While it was still wet, I added on my 3 powders. I used 3 gorgeous powders from WOW! and inspired by Alexandra Renke. These colours are rich and I love how they have flecks of white throughout them, both big and small.

The first colour I used was Tschenny’s Sky, the next is Kerstin’s Magic and lastly is Manuela’s Honey. I heated the powders and did the same process a second time, to ensure a nice and smooth surface.

Next I cut out my large birthday wishes panel and trimmed it down to 4×5.25. This small border along the edges will allow the embossing powders below to shine through and add a colourful border to it, that coordinates with the sentiment. I adhered the diecut panel to the embossed piece making sure to add back in the small pieces to the center of some of the letters. The smaller sentiment was cut from the Fab Foilers – Sweet Sentiments (by Natasha Davies) and was foiled using some of the Fab Foil in Bright Silver. It was then trimmed down and adhered using some small foam squares.

And that’s it! These powders are really gorgeous and I especially love the large and small flecks of white in them. And the fab foilers are so easy to use and add a bit more shine to your project using the beautiful foils from WOW! Thank you so very much for stopping by and I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some small way. I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day!

Until next time, Michelle 😉

Michelle Burnier

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
