Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here. Today I am sharing a tag that I made to celebrate Aurora Borealis. Which is a new embossing powder inspired by Brennan Keane, this embossing powder will add a glint of sparkle and beauty to all your projects.

To begin making my tag, I started off with a tag base that I cut out from a piece of mixed media card using a tag die. To give the tag base some colour I used liquid acrylic paint and pigment powder to create a watercolour effect. Once the colour was dry I took a stencil and went over different areas of it with embossing ink. This is so I could add embossing powder to the pattern of the stencil and to create a background. Next I die cut out some stars from a piece of card. I glued down the outline ones to the background before adding embossing ink and embossing powder to the solid stars and adhering them to the background with foam pads. Lastly I added a sentiment and framed the tag with a border. Finishing off with some matching ribbon at the top.
