Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello everyone, My name is Emilie, and today is a day of celebrations for me as this is my first blog post as a design team member for WOW! Embossing powders.

To showcase how WOW embossing powders can help give colour and texture to your projects I’ve created this celebration card. My inspiration for this card was, the New Year, my birthday (which was yesterday), and the honour of becoming a DT member.

Focal Point
For my focal point I decided to go with stars. I used WOWs Superior smooth white cardstock to die cut them out, I then inked up the stars with WOW embossing ink pad, I like to press my die cuts into my ink pad I find this gives me an even coating of ink.

Next I added Firey Fun and Halo glitter embossing powders on to the inked up stars. Tapping off the excess powder I then used WOWs heat tool to heat emboss them. These powders help give texture and lots of sparkle to the focal point. To give this card some dimension I used foam squares to raise up the solid stars and sentiment.

Lastly I hot foiled the sentiment onto WOWs cardstock, which is a beautiful cardstock to hot foil onto.
