Hi paper crafting peeps, welcome to my blog post as part of my design team work for WOW! Embossing Powder. I wanted to show case the Red Glitz embossing glitter other than for a Christmas Card. The Red Glitz has such a gorgeous vibrant colour pigment to it that I was not ready to play with another colour and use it again for today’s card. Now if you know me, I love my butterflies and this Bold butterfly die is an oldie but a goodie from Pretty Pink Posh. One of my favourite ways to heat emboss intricate dies is to use Score-Tape sheets as these are double-sided AND heat resistant which makes for idea heat embossing! double WIN right?? One side of the adhesive sheet I stick on WOW! cardstock and the otherside I sprinkle with the Red Glitz. These pre-embossed sheets also makes for easy die-cutting.
For the cardbase, I have dry embossed using a 2D Daisy embossing folder from Uniquely Creative. I created my own diffuser with thick chipboard which I have die cut using Nested heart dies. I layered this chipboard piece over the top of the embossing folder whilst running through the bigshot machine so therefore leaving this blank heart textured space on the card front. To enhance the heart I added some ink blending with Distress Candied Apple ink and a large blending brush. With a gentle hand, I rubbed the Distress ink pad over the top around the edges only capturing extra ink over the top enhancing the detail of the embossing folder. I adhered the panel down on a white side folding cardbase.
For the sentiment, I have stamped on a strip of white cardstock with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink with the A Pocket full of happiness “From the Heart” stampset. I have to say, this stampset has the sweetest selection of sentiments to choose from.
