Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hey friends….it’s Michelle back with a clean and simple card today. This week the product spotlight is on the gorgeous Quads, Trios and Duos of embossing powders that has WOW! has, so I decided to use the Celestial Harmony Duo. This is a perfectly curated duo filled with gorgeous sparkle, texture and multiple colours! Let’s get started with these Celestial Butterflies!
Celestial Butterflies
- Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.25×5.5″ and place the butterfly die on the left side of the cardstock and run it through your diecutting machine.
- Keep the thin outline of the b utterflies, but discard (or keep if you’d like) of the diecut butterflies.
- Cut small pieces of white cardstock big enough for each of the diecut butterflies and heat emboss using the 2 powders, Violet Aurora and Opal Glow, alternating each one. In the end you will have 3 of one powder and 4 of the other. Die cut these embossed pieces.
- Trim the diecut piece down to 4×5.25″ and glue to your A2 cardbase.
- Adding some glue into each of the empty spots for the butterflies, place the thin butterfly outline back into place. Add more adhesive if needed and each of the embossed butterflies back into the respective places. I find using a pair of craft tweezers will help you get the placement perfect.
- Add your diecut sentiment using some foam tape on the lower right side and a few clear dew drops and that’s it.
This is such a gorgeous duo of powders, that I thought they would be perfect for the butterflies! The sparkle, texture and that little bit of iridescence is incredible!
