We are back with The Countdown To Christmas Day 4 and today we are welcoming our first Creative Guest for the event! The lovely Emilie joins us with this fabulous mixed media design. Don’t forget to check out the details for today’s Special Present below!
Hello everyone, it brings me joy to be back sharing another card with you all. This one I made for the countdown to Christmas. Happy holidays to you all, with peace, love and joy.
Pine Cones And Pine Needles
- Firstly I diecut all the pinecones and needles from WOW’s Superior smooth white cardstock to add colour I ink blended them all.
- Then I added some Halo embossing powder to the pinecones and Hissss to some of the pine needles and heat embossed.
Background
- For the background I used watercolour paper and pigment powders. (Have you tried them?) Start by spraying the paper with water then adding the power with a paint brush, you get this beautiful intense colour, add a little more water to spread the colour out, when you’re happy let dry or dry with Setting 1 on your heat tool.
- Next I used the snowflake dance stencil and some texture paste and added Say You’ll Remember Me embossing powder then heated it to set the powder and dry the paste.
- Lastly I arranged all the pinecones and pine needles stuck them all down.
- Finishing it off with Peace, Love and Joy sentiments that I stamped with WOW embossing ink and heat embossed with Polished Gold super fine embossing powder.
