Creating Flowers full of Texture with WOW! Embossing Changers

Hi WOW! friends and welcome back! It’s Michelle back with you today and I am sharing a project using 1 powder and the WOW! It Changers Lightening Kit. If you have never used these or are unfamiliar with the changers, they are a set of 3 powders that you add to your embossing powders to change their look and feel. The 3 powders are Sheen, Glisten and Texture. One adds sheen, one adds a bit of sparkle and the last adds some fabulous texture to your embossing powder. All you need is 1 embossing powder and these changers and it brings new life to your powders. They are lots of fun to use! Let’s get started and I’ll show you how to Create Flowers Full of Texture with WOW! Changers.

I used Sea Mist embossing powder as my main powder. Using the 3 empty jars that come with the kit, add 1 scoop of the Sea Mist to each jar.
Add 1 scoop of the each of the different changers to the jars….1 jar will be Sheen, the next Texture and the last one is Glisten. Add the lid and shake to mix well.
Add embossing ink to a small piece of white cardstock big enough to fit the floral dies and add each powder to a piece of white cardstock. Heat the powders with youe mheat embossing tool.
The flower dies I used are in 2 parts, so the top part of the flower which shows a darker shade as the inner part of the flower, I heat embossed using Sea Mist for all 3. This way you are able to see the powder next to each of the changers and how it changes the powders.
Cut out all the parts of the flowers and adhere together.
Die cut the background using a light grey cardstock and cut a white frame from white cardstock. Trim the grey background so that it it only large enough to fit the white frame.
Assemble it all on an A2 cardbase. Add your chosen sentiment and finish it with a few white iridescent pearls.

These changers are so fun to use! I love how they change the look of the powders, while still keeping it all cohesive. They breathe new life into your existing powders….now who wouldn’t love getting more from their crafting supplies! And the great part is that ypu don’t have to buy the whole kit to try it out at first….you can get any of them to start!
