Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey everyone, how are you? Have you checked out the new release inspired by Cuadritos de Colores? In today’s Exploring Embossing, I’ve created a striped background by using washi tape, and I’ve used the gorgeous new “The Violetera” as the main colour.

I’ve also got a Reel showing you how I made this card over on Insta – come check it out!
To make my background, I grabbed some different widths of washi tape, and placed them horizontally across my card panel, spacing them to create stripes of different heights. I added embossing ink below the first piece of washi and added The Violetera, then set with my heat tool. I repeated the process with each taped-off section to create embossed stripes of of different colours (the colours I used from top to bottom were Strawberry Sparkle, Rosy Cheeks, Grape Fizz and The Violetera).

Once I’d made my background panel, I stamped my sentiment from The Greeting Farm’s “Anya in Japan” stamp set between two of the embossed sections. I then added the Anya and flowers that I had stamped, coloured and fussy cut, using foam squares. The Copics I used were:
Hair: 100/C9/C7/C5
Flowers: RV14/RV13/RV11
Berries: RV66/RV53
Kimono: V17/V15/V12, RV17/RV14/RV13/RV11
Skin: E55/E53/E51, R20
Fan: E44/E43/E42/E41

I love how the four colours really complement each other and bring all the sparkle! I hope you like it, too!
Thanks for joining me again today for another Exploring Embossing – see you next time!
