Get Well card ft. twist & shout trio

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello, WOW! friends! Today I’m sharing a get-well card featuring the new Twist & Shout Trio. I know this card may be a bit gross for some, but it made me giggle and I hope it does you, too!

The idea for this card started with the Lime Twist Embossing Powder. Isn’t it perfect for an oozy frame (kinda makes one think of snot, amiright?)?! I diecut Smooth White Cardstock with Whimsy Stamps’ Drippy Frame Die and pressed it into embossing ink. I then sprinkled on Lime Twist powder and heat-set it with my WOW heat tool. Ooey, gooey perfection!

I placed the embossed frame over another panel of white cardstock to help me with placement of my critter image. I stamped that adorable pig from Whimsy’s Get Well stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my Copics. After masking the image, I stenciled over it with MFT’s Geometric Grid Stencil and Lost Shadow Distress Ink.

I adhered the drippy frame to my stenciled panel and trimmed around it with my scissors to remove the excess white cardstock. I attached the panel to a black mat with foam tape before affixing it to a white cardbase.

For my diecut sentiment I used Whimsy’s UGH! Word and Shadow Dies. I heat-embossed a panel of white cardstock with Orange Twist Embossing Powder and diecut the letters from it. I layered them onto a white shadow and popped the piece onto my card with foam tape. I heat-embossed a sub-sentiment from the Get Well set with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder, which I also adhered with foam tape. For the perfect finishing touch, I finished with a scattering of green enamel dots.
