Hello! Welcome back to the Wow Embossing blog. I have a fun little project for you today, creating some glitter keychains using Embossing Sparkles! My daughter is about to turn six, and she and her friends are all about the glitter, so I’ve taken inspiration from Wow’s range of Embossing Sparkles and made four keychains for my daughter and her friends as party favours, featuring several of the different colours of Embossing Sparkles in my stash.
In this post, I’ll outline the key steps to create your own glitter keychains at home, but for all the detail and lots of extra hints and tips, please do join me over on YouTube, where I have a full process video!
Instructions
- Cover a blank wooden keychain with embossing ink using the mixed media brush and add embossing sparkles of your choice then heat set. Repeat for the reverse and sides.
- Add another layer of embossing ink to the keychain and this time cover with clear gloss, then heat set again.
- Die-cut your chosen initial three times from cardstock and stack together for dimension before heat embossing with a co-ordinating colour.
- Glue your embossed initial to the keychain, then finish by adding a co-ordinating tassel to the chain.
