Indigo Ultra High Embossing Powder - WOW Embossing Powder

Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here and today I am using Indigo ultra high embossing powder to add colour to a wooden tag, that would make a cute gift for someone or a home decor piece or even a fridge magnetic! I also discovered that you can create a really cool effect that adds interest to your projects all from this one powder that I shall share with you too.

Indigo Ultra High Embossing Powder.

Indigo Ultra High embossing powder is a translucent colour so whatever colour is underneath this will slightly change the result of the embossing powder. Because my tag was brown I painted both sides white so that the embossing powder would become vibrant.

when the paint had dried I added embossing ink over the top and sprinkled on the embossing powder. I tapped off the excess powder onto some paper so that I could pour it back into its pot. I used my heat tool to heat set the powder then I did a second coat of embossing ink and powder. As the powder was melting I noticed a pink undertone appear. I decided to heat it up for a few seconds longer in the same spot. This made the powder separate slightly and how I discovered you can make a crackled effect with this powder.

Once the embossing powder had cooled down I inked up a flower stamp with embossing ink and stamped it onto the tag. I then added white embossing powder over the top and heat set it to reveal the flower image.
