Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello everyone, Emilie here. On today’s background love is in the air with the help from the stamp set starburst inspired by Marion Emberson. This stamp set has three designs in two different sizes which makes it great to either add them to your background or as a focal point for your creation. Let’s begin.
Love is in the air.
THE BACKGROUND
I picked pink, purple and blue ink pads to do some ink-smooshing on white cardstock; I love that this came out looking like clouds. Once my background was dry I lightly ink blended some hearts in pink with a blending brush and a stencil.
STAMPS and EMBOSSING POWDERS
As Valentines is coming up, I choose the heart stamps and added them into my background. I started off with the big heart stamp and put it on a stamping block then inked it up with WOWs embossing ink pad and stamping it onto my background. I then added primary fuchsia fusion embossing powder, tapping off the excess and heat setting it with my heat tool. Then inked up the small heart stamp and slightly overlapping the big one, I added primary blue topaz embossing powder and heat set it. I alternated these two embossing powders between the two stamps around my background. Lastly I used the love sentiment stamp set and stamp love three times in black ink and added the sentiment “with all my heart” under one of the loves.
DIE CUTTING
I finished off my background with a stitched square die cut, running it through my die cutting machine then gluing it to some black cardstock to make a border. For the hearts I die cut one heart eight times to make two hearts, I added halo embossing powder to one of the hearts the glued four hearts together to give them some dimension.
