Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Happy Wednesday Darlings, it’s Jo here from @havefaithincards! I hope you have all been keeping well. Today I am here with two cards utilising one design, showing off a warm tone and cool tone palette. This design makes use of WOW! Embossing’s Fab Foils and Embossing Powders, so to find out how I created these cards, please see below.

Background
Taking a coloured cardstock and Taylored Expressions ‘Butterfly Swirls‘ embossing folder, run both together through a die cut/embossing machine. Then, take two pieces of coloured cardstock and cut down the width of both, making one slightly more narrow than the other. Finally, adhere the narrower cardstock on top of the wider piece, and then adhere the panel to your embossed background.
sentiment
I used Scrapbook.com’s ‘Thank You Sentiments‘ die set and selected the ‘Hello‘ die. First, using WOW! Embossing’s ‘Solid Panel‘ Fab Foiler, take a piece and run the card and die through a die cut machine. Then, using WOW! Embossing’s Fab Foils (I used the colours ‘Blush’ and ‘Rose Gold’ for my cards) run the sentiment with the foil through a laminator.
For extra dimension, die cut the same sentiment from foam paper, then adhere your foiled sentiment to the foam die cut. Then, adhere your sentiment to the bottom of the base panel.

Butterflies
For the butterflies, I used Scrapbook.com’s ‘Patterned Butterflies‘ die set. On a small piece of white cardstock, apply slow drying embossing ink, sprinkle powder over, and set into place using a heat tool. For the cool tone card, I used WOW! Embossing’s ‘Pink Tutu’ and ‘Punch’. For the warm tone card I used ‘Vintage Turquoise’ and ‘Midnight Dream’.
Then die cut the patterned butterflies from the embossed cardstock, and die cut the solid butterflies from a contrasting cardstock. For the contasting cardstock, I decided to use gold and holographic card for some extra shine! Both of these cardstock’s came from Scrapbook.com’s ‘Holographic Mirror‘ paper pad. Finally, adhere the patterned butterflies to the solid base, and stick onto your card using 3D foam tape.

Finishing Touches
Finally, to finish off the card I added some sequins and jewels for some additional bling!
And that’s a wrap 🙂 I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and I cannot wait to see you take on this design. As always, make sure to tag WOW! in all your creations using their product so that we can show some love. Crafty Hugs, Jo x
