Hi WOW! friends and welcome back! It’s Michelle with you and today I am back with something a bit electric! Have you seen that WOW! has a brand new release??? The Neon Dayz Collection is so fun and the colours are perfect for all of your summer makes…..the colours are really quite electric! I was recently cleaning out my craftroom and donated almost all of my old scrapbooking supplies to my neighbours little girl, but I kept these fun little chipboard frames. I wasn’t quite sure what to use them for, but I decided to pair them with these gorgeous neon embossing powders and to be honest…..I’m not mad about it. I kind of like how they turned out! Keep reading for all the details on how I created this and how you can Transform Your Crafts with Neon Embossing Powders.
- Take each of the 4 frames and go direct with your embossing ink pad and fully cover it with ink. Cover each with one of the neon powders and heat set using your heat embossing tool.
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to 4×5.25″. Using a script background stamp, stamp and heat emboss this using Clear Gloss.
- Spritz some water on the heat embossed background and sprinkle each of the 4 powders on the water droplets. Heat set this from underneath, so as not to blow it around too much seeing as it is just water. Set this aside. You may have to weigh it down to try and minimize any warping that may have formed from the heat embossing.
- Add your background to an A2 black ncardbase. Arrange and place the frames on your background and adhere into place. Trim off excess overhang with a sharp pair of scissors.
- Add your sentiment using foam tape to have it raised a bit higher than the frames.
This new Neon Dayz Collection is so much fun and the colours are truly electric! They are equally amazing on white or black, but man….do they ever pop against the black! These are definitely must haves for all your summer makes! I sure had fun making this! Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope that I have helped to inspire you! I wish you all a crafty and colourful day and until next time, Michelle 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.
My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
