Hi, It’s Laura here from MeerkatMakesbyL – Cards By Laura and I am super excited to be on the WOW embossing blog today for my first Design Team post and video. In today’s tutorial I show you how you can use WOW Fab foil to create stunning backgrounds with your stamps and how you can also use WOW Fab Foil as a resist with shimmer powders.
Using Fab Foil with your stamps!
To create this card I used the WOW Fab Foil in Gold with the WOW Bonding Powder. To get the best impression with foil I find you need pressure and in today’s video tutorial I show you how to do that!
First, I stamped my image using the WOW embossing ink pad. I then covered the image in the bonding powder. Next, I tapped off the excess powder and returned it to the pot. Then I heat set all the powder on the highest setting until all the powder was fully melted. Once it was hot and melted I quickly added the foil and ran it through my die cutting machine to add pressure. Finally I removed the foil to reveal a stunning foiled background!
Lastly, I added shimmer powders to my background, a sentiment and some gems – I even foiled the sub-sentiment in the same way!
