Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here. Today I am showcasing the new and first ever wow duo – night on the town.
This duo of embossing powders comes in a hue of red and orange, that is full of golden sparkle which is perfect for adding warmth and a touch of glam to any project.
Wow Duo – Night On The Town
For this card, I decided to go for butterflies. Using WOWs Superior smooth white cardstock to die cut out the butterflies, which I then applied embossing ink to by pressing them into my ink pad, this helps give an even coverage of ink.
Once the butterflies were inked up I poured on Sparkling Sunset and Glass Of Fizz, embossing powder to add some colour.
Next, I tapped off the excess powder before heat setting from underneath first with my heat tool. As these powders have golden sparkle in them, it is best to heat from underneath first so that the heat tool can melt the powder and stop the glitter from blowing away, when applying the heat tool from above.
Lastly I arranged the butterflies onto the background and stamped the sentiment around them before gluing them down with liquid glue and trimming off the edges. For the centre butterfly I used foam squares to raise it up from the others. To complete my card I glued down the background to a 6×6 card base.
