A CAS Fruit salad

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hi WOW! friends….it’s Michelle back with you today, sharing the ultimate CAS (clean and simple) card. I’ve used the Fruit Puffs Quad from the newest release for my project today. These puffs are so fun, as they have a textured effect to them, that gives me fuzzy sweater vibes. Keep reading and we’ll get right to making a CAS Fruit Salad.

A CAS Fruit Salad

  1. Heat emboss 4 pieces of white cardstock, approximately half of an A2 size, or large enough to cut several of the small die. Go direct with the embossing ink pad to the cardstock and do some ink smooshing. Ensure the cardstock is fully covered with ink. Sprinkle 1 of each colour of the Fruit Puff Quad on each of the cardstock. Heat each piece and watch as the powders puff up….it is so cool!
  2. Die cut each heat embossed piece 3 or 4 times ( I wasn’t sure how many I was going to use at first) or simply as many times as you will need.
  3. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4×5.25″. Place the diecut pieces where you will put them and place 2 pieces of white cardstock about 1 or 2″ above the top and bottom of the diecut pieces. These will serve as a mask, to protect the rest top and bottom of the cardstock. Remove the diecut pieces and add some black paint splatters.
  4. Once the paint splatters are dry, adhere the diecut pieces and cut off any excess hanging over the sides.
  5. Cutout the sentiment from black cardstock and adhere over the diecut pieces. Adhere to an A2 (4.25×5.5″) cardbase.

I love how these colours pop off the white cardstock…..they really give this CAS card the WOW! factor! And these puff powders are truly so fun, watching the powders puff as they melt. Thank you so very much for stopping by today. I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
