In today’s tutorial I show you how you can use the reverse stenciling technique with your embossing powders for some stunning results.
Reverse stenciling with your embossing powders
In the tutorial I show you how you can create backgrounds using your hands for pressure, a brayer, or best of all your die cutting machine. Join me on YouTube as I play around with this technique until I find the best way to reverse stencil with embossing powders. You can find the step by step guide below too.
- Add embossing ink to your stencil.
- Place a piece of card over your stencil and tack it in place using some low tack tape.
- Run it through your die cutting machine for even pressure.
- Remove the stencil and add embossing powder all over your panel.
- Heat set from underneath.
- Then assemble your card. Choose a bold sentiment and a few gems for a clean and simple finish allowing the stenciled background to be the main focus.
