Easy Mixing metallics with Fab Foil

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey friends…..it’s Michelle back with you sharing an easy way to mix metallics using the Fab Foil. As it is July, I’m joining in the fun and celebrating Christmas in July. I created an easy die cut card using some Fab Foils and this came together in no time. Let’s get started, shall we!

Easy Mixing Metallics with Fab Foil

  1. Heat up your Minc machine or laminator. Cut 3 pieces of the Solid Fab Foil Panels according to the size of the dies. Cut 3 pieces of foil for each of the cut pieces of the solid fab foil panel. I used the Glitter Gold for the large shadow layer of the Noel and Red and Bright Silver for the small diecut accent pieces. Send each of the pieces with the solid panel through your pre-heated desired machine. Allow them to cool.
  2. Once the foiled pieces are cooled, run them through your diecut machine with the dies. Diecut the word Noel from white cardstock. Put the diecut Noel together adding in the small foiled pieces.
  3. Emboss a piece of white cardstock for the background using a plaid 3D embossing folder. Cut dwn a bit to create a border and adhere to a red A2 top folding cardbase. Add the diecut and foiled Noel to the embossed background. I added the smaller sentiment from my stash of precut and foiled sentiments. Although there is no black in the card, I really liked the pop that the small black sentiment adds to it. Pop this smaller sentiment using some foam squares.

I love mixing metallics together and using the Fab Foils in combination with the Soild Fab Foil Panels make it so easy to add some gorgeous shine to your projects! These colours are perfect for many different projects, but even more so for the upcoming (more or less lol) holiday season! I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
