A Regal Combination

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey friends….it’s Michelle back with you sharing a card featuring 2 of the embossing powders from the latest release in February. There were so many gorgeous powders, but I chose to work with 2 that are always a regal combination. let’s get started, shall we!

A Regal Combination

  1. Cut out the flower and go direct die cut flower to the slow drying embossing ink pad. Add the Ultra High Pirmary Indiog Emossing Powder and heat set from below, as the particles are larger than usual. Heating from below helps to not have the powders flying off, as the heat flow and air is not directly on the powder. Repeat this process 2x, as I wanted a super glossy almost enamel like finish to them.
  2. The cool thing with this powder, is that the longer you hold your heat embossing tool on the powder, you can actually move it a bit and get a lighter pinky lilac colour to it…that’s the lighter purple colour you see at the top of the cupped flower.
  3.  I added another one of the new powders, Ray of Sunshine to the middle of the flower for that bit of sparkle.  I did the same paper to ink pad technique as above.
  4. For the other middle part of the flower I used Metallic Gold Rich and followed the same direct to ink pad technique.
  5. I adhered my flowers together and added the flower tops to my diecut stems and leaves.
  6. This was all added to my hot foiled background and then added to an A2 cardbase, along with the sentiment.

These 2 powders are such a beautiful combination together and purple and gold are always a win win. They have such a regal feeling. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way and I wish you all the most wonderful and colourful day! Until next time 🙂

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.

My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
