Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

This project is the perfect follow-up to my full-panel embossing card—same base technique, completely different finish! Here I’ve created a background using colour blocking with ultra high powders, paired with a die-cut sentiment panel from Hero Arts.
It’s quick, impactful, and lets the embossing really shine.
Colour Blocking With Ultra High Embossing
- Cover a panel of cardstock with heatproof double-sided adhesive.
- Peel back half of the backing and pour on pink Ultra High embossing powder. Tap off the excess.
- Peel off the remaining backing and add purple Ultra High embossing powder. Tap off and heat set thoroughly from behind.
- Die cut the large Hero Arts sentiment cover die from Neenah 80lb cardstock.
- Adhere the die-cut panel to the textured base using strong liquid glue.
- Finish by embellishing with some of the little die-cut hearts from the cover plate!
Fast, fabulous, and full of shine—this card is a total showstopper. I love combining big impact designs with minimal fuss. Be sure to check out the coordinating card if you want to make the most of your embossing powders and adhesives.
