Hi WOW! friends and welcome back! It’s Michelle with you today and I am sharing a new project using lots of gorgeous powders from the Spring Has Sprung Collection. It is full of the perfect embossing powders to bring all of your Spring projects to life. If you are looking for inspiration, you’ll definitely find it there! Let’s get started and I’ll show you how to Create A Stunning Heat Embossed Spring Garden.
- Chose a palette of powders both from the Spring Collection and some not. I used Cotton Candy Sparkles, Pinktastic Duo, Marshmallow Fizz, Dappled Peach, Fairy Clouds, Dried Lavender, Verdigris Revive, Green Fields Glimmer, Fresh Stem, Gilded Moss (Natures Alloy Duo) and Metallic Gold pale Regular.
- Cut small pieces of white cardstock big enough for the diecuts. Ink smoosh each inidividual piece of cardstock with the slow drying embossing ink, sprinkle on each powder and heat set until melted. Be sure to heat any with glitter in them from below the cardstock, so as not to blow the glitter off from the heat. Set aside.
- Add some double sided adhesive to one of the small pieces of cardstock. Peel back the adhesive and add one of the Sparkles to it and press down or burnish the glitter to adhere it well.
- Using the dies, cut out each piece of heat embossed cardstock and adhere them together, if needed. For a little bit of drama cut out the background pieces using black cardstock.
- Adhere all of the embossed floral pieces to their respective spots on the embossed background.
- Heat emboss the sentiment and diecut it. Adhere to the floral background using some foam adhesive.
- To create the shaped card, cut 2 extra pieces using the outline die using an ivory cardstock. Adhere one the back of the black cardstock. For the second one, score it at 5/8″ from the top and fold. Add your adhesive to this part only and adhere to the top of the cardbase (or the previously cut ivory piece)
I had lots of fun picking all of these gorgeous Spring colours….there are so many to chose from! Definitely head over the Community Gallery for lots of incredible inspiration…..there is so much to see! Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope that I have helped to inspire you! I wish you all a crafty and colourful day and until next time!

Hello…..my name is Michelle and I’m a Canadian girl living in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland with my Swiss husband and 2 cats. I love all things crafty, shiny and glittery! Besides my love for papercrafting, I also enjoy crocheting and making felt flowers.
My papercrafting journey began about 20 years ago when I walked into my little local stamp and scrapbooking store to make a scrapbook album for my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary. I eventually moved on to cardmaking and haven’t looked back since.
