Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Happy Wednesday Darlings! It’s Jo from @havefaithincards, with two cards showcasing the newly released WOW! Embossing x Funky Fossil Timeless Trio. Let’s just say ‘Wow’ indeed! This new release is so beautiful that I instantly felt inspire on what to create.

Background:
First, die cut two squares for your base layer using watercolour cardstock. For the background, I used Lindy’s Gang Magicals. Taking a tiny fan brush, dip the tip into the powder and tap lightly onto the watercolour cardstock. A little bit of powder goes a long way. I used ‘Steampunk Sepia’ and ‘Shabby Turbine Teal’.
Next, activate the powder using a water spray bottle. The more water you use, the more diluted the colour will become. The less water you use, the more you will achieve a ‘multi-colour background’. I went for the happy middle. Then leave your base layers to dry.
Sentiment and Shapes
The sentiment is from Catherine Pooler’s Dream Big die set and the Feather and Moon shapes are from Hero Arts Dream Catcher die set.
For the orange card I used the following embossing powders; ‘Copper Mine’ from the Timeless Trio set and ‘Polished Gold Super Fine’. For the blue card, I used the following powders from the Timeless Trio set; ‘Tarnished Treasure’ and ‘Rock Solid’.
To emboss, I used a white cardstock, applied WOW!’s Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink, sprinkled the embossing powder onto the card, and set into place using Dual Speed Heat Tool.
Piecing It All Together
For the sentiment, I adhered this onto the base layer using foam tape, so this would stick out as the centre piece. I then placed the feathers and moon around the sentiment, figuring out a layout I was happy with before gluing the pieces on.
I hope you like these cards. They are actually something very different to my normal style, and because of this, I am proud of the end results.
