Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here sharing another idea for a background. The background I created uses the emboss resist technique and WOW stamps. Let’s begin!
Emboss Resist Technique And WOW Stamps
I started off with some white cardstock and took the largest stamp from WOW’s stamp set ‘Twinkling Love’ and inked it up with embossing ink. I began stamping in the top left corner, with the stamp slightly off the edge of the cardstock. Then, I added clear embossing powder, which is like a magical reveal once colour is applied. You can choose any colour of WOW’s embossing powder for this part. Next I heat set the powder and repeated the stamping and embossing around the cardstock.
Once the embossing powder had cooled, I ink smooshed my choice of colour over the top. I didn’t like the look it gave, so I decided to ink blend over the top of that instead with my blending brushes, going darker in some areas than others. My next step was to add water splatters to the background and darken up the hearts and leaves with my water paintbrush by applying more ink.
I cut down my background slightly smaller than my card base to create a white border, then adhered it down with liquid glue. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from WOW’s stamp set ‘Happiest Day’ using ‘Primary Fuchsia Fusion’ embossing powder on white cardstock, adhering it to the background with foam squares.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope this gives you inspiration to create your own backgrounds and give WOW stamps a try.
