Embossing With your Stencils to add Texture & Sparkle!!

Hello Crafty Friends!! Larissa here today to share a BEAUTIFL Thank You Card showing how you can add the WOW factor by Embossing With your Stencils to add Texture & Sparkle!!

Plus, we’ll even add some Die Cuts to give it even more Texture and Sparkle!! This is one of my FAVORITE Techniques as it adds so much WoW to a Design!!

Embossing With your Stencils to add Texture & Sparkle!!

I Started by Die Cutting the Card Panel Base from White Cardstock and then I used the coordinating Stencil Set along with Distress Oxide Inks to add Color and then I used the different WoW Embossing Powders to add some Texture and Sparkle!!

I Started with Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks and Newport Embossing Powder!! Next I Inked with Dried Marigold & Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Inks and then I Embossed with Tangerine Dream Embossing Powder!!

Followed by Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Inks and Embossed with Bubblicious Embossing Powder!! Finally, I Inked with Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord and Embossed with Sugared Almond Embossing Powder!!

That completed the Stenciled and Embossed Background and you could choose to stop right here and you’d have a STUNNING Background!!

Layering it up

I wanted to add some Dimension and Layers though so I chose to add some coordinating Die Cuts that I also Inked with the same Ink combination and then I added the same WoW Embossing Powders!!

I added one NEW color to the mix though, I inked with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink and Embossed with some Picnic Basket Embossing Powder!! I LOVE how these Die Cut Flowers look and you again could just create a Card using these De Cuts too!!

I’m going to combine them together though to create a BEAUTIFUL Thank You Card!!

So, I adhered the Stenciled and Embossed Card Panel to a Card Panel that I inked with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink!! Then I popped up the Flowers and Leaves from the Card Panel!! Then I adhered the Die Cut Flowers to add some Dimension and Fullness to the Flowers!!

I Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment onto some Black Cardstock using some WoW Clear Embossing Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! Then I adhered the Sentiment to the Card Panel using some Foam Tape for some Dimension!! Lastly I finished off the Flowers with some Trinity Stamps Baubbles in coordinating Colors!!

I LOVE how this Card turned and how FUN it is to Step Up your Stenciled Designs!! I feel like the Texture and Sparkle add so much personality to the over all Design!! I hope this INSPIRES you to give this Technique a try!!
