exploring embossing: rainbow christmas trees!

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey friends, thanks for joining me again for another instalment of Exploring Embossing! Today, I’m using a rainbow of embossing powders and glitters to create a bright and beautiful Christmas card!

I had already die-cut a panel of white card using the Pretty Pink Posh Tree Cover plate on another card project. So, rather than let the leftover trees go to waste, I thought I’d turn them into a second card! I pressed each tree into my embossing ink, poured over some embossing powder (all the colours I used are listed below) and set them with my heat gun.

I then used the cover plate die as a guide to help me line up the trees so they would be equally spaced on my card. Placing them face down into the tree spaces in the die, I added small foam squares on to the backs of each tree, then placed my card base directly over the top.

To finish up, I trimmed out a sentiment from Simon Say Stamp’s pre-printed sentiment cards, and added a few iridescent sequins.

If you’d like to see how the card came together, please check out my YouTube video:

I love to explore new places, but I’m always happiest when I’m home!
