Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hey guys, have you seen the new mini release? It’s a brand new, super fun colour of Sparkles called Cotton Candy – pink with irridescent glitter and sparkles. I’ll let you into a little secret – until this release, I’d never used Sparkles before! So, for this edition of Exploring Embossing, I’m exploring sparkle!

As soon as I swatched the Cotton Candy, it reminded me of flamingoes, which was a great opportunity to raid my stash and use the Flock Star stamp set from Heffy Doodle I’ve been wanting to break out!
The Cotton Candy is so full of texture and sparkle, I wanted to let it shine, and keep the rest of the card fairly simple. So, I cut the middle-sized frame from MFT’s stitched rectangle frame die-namics three times and stacked then together for dimension. Then, I cut a panel of white cardstock of the same size, inked it up with embossing ink, and covered it in Cotton Candy. I heat set the panel with my heat gun, from the back of the panel, to stop any of the glitter from being blown off before it was set.

I glued my white frame over the glittery panel, then in the centre, I added one of the flamingoes from the Heffy Doodle set, which I’d stamped, coloured and fussy cut. The colours I used were RV14, RV13 and RV11. I also stamped out the sentiments and trimmed them down, then glued everything in place inside the frame.

I placed the frame into the centre of an A2 panel of pink cardstock, but it looked a little bare, so I decided to add some detail. I grabbed the Movie Star stencil from Time for Tea Designs, and ink blended some white pigment ink onto the panel. This added just the right amount of background detail to finish off the card, and so I glued the frame in the centre, and this card was finished!

Thanks so much for joining me again today for some more Exploring Embossing! See you next time!
