Thank You Card Using Metallic Gold Rich

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello! My name is Theary from @cloudycoraldesigns, and I am so happy to share my first blog post as a design team member for WOW! Embossing Powder.

I wanted to create something simple that had a bit of drama. So, I gravitate towards ink blending to create something interesting in the background scene. I used Catherine Pooler Design Inks along with Trinity Stamps Blending Buddy. I like using this brush because it makes ink blending super easy. But, Before I start with the blending, I wanted to mask off an oval shape on my card panel. I used Trinity Stamps A2 Foundation-Oval Stencil and adhered it to the card panel using washi tape. The shaped stencils available from Trinity Stamps make basic masking so effortless. I highly recommend it as an essential in every craft room.

Embossing powder is a fun way to add texture and interest to any die-cut piece. I die-cut Large Branch Die from Trinity Stamps out of glossy black paper from Memory Box Co. Then, I went in with my WOW! clear embossing ink and ran that only on the tips of the die-cut piece. Doing this creates a little shine without overpowering the whole card design. I later sprinkled some WOW! Embossing Powder in color Metallic Gold Rich and heat set that with WOW! Dual Speed Heat tool.

To finish, I adhered the card to a black matted cardstock and a top folding card base. I added a block-style sentiment and some embellishments. And that’s it! I hope you found this tutorial helpful, and I hope you can spend some time in your craft space today. Until next time!
