Orange Blossom

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello Lovelies! It’s Aditi here and I’m back with another Off The Page Mixed Media Project for you’ll! Today we are looking at how to step up our layered die cuts with WOW Embossing powders, to give them the realistic feel.

Here’s a slideshow of the Canvas:

Once I die cut and put together the layers of my oranges and leaves, I used the WOW Mixed Media brush to apply embossing ink and sprinkled a variety of Embossing Powders. I went in with the WOW Embossing pen to add highlights and textures that give these oranges the realistic look. The process takes time, however it is such details that make the project WOW. I have a reel on Instagram Sharing this process.

For the background, I have used watercolours to create a woodgrain effect and covered it with Clear Embossing powder. Once that was dry, I rubbed my embossing ink pad at a few places and used the Turkish Coffee Embossing powder to achieve the dark textured look. The background mimics the tree bark, and gives a close up vibe of the oranges hanging on the tree. I completed the canvas with a quote stamped with Bright White Embossing powder.

Hope you enjoyed this today!
