Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hello everyone, it’s Emilie here, sharing with you how I made this primary coloured rainbow card that features the brand new Fruit Puff Quad. These powders give great texture because of their ability to puff/raise once heated. They are also soft to the touch.
Fruit Puff Quad
I began with a piece of watercolour paper that is 350gsm and stencilled texture paste over the top, starting on the left hand side then moving the stencil to the top right corner to give me this cluster of flowers and butterflies. I removed the stencil, and while the texture paste was still wet, I poured over the fruit puff embossing powder in sections and removed the excess powder before moving on to the next colour. Starting with Watermelon Puff (red), then Banana Puff (yellow), next Cucumber Puff (green), and lastly Bilberry Puff (blue). I then used my heat tool to heat set the powders and dry the texture paste.
To colour in my embossed image I matched my water reactive inks to the embossing powders and watercoloured each section with a paintbrush. To add some further detail I did some stamping over the watercolour, by inking up my stamp and misting it with water from a spray bottle and lightly pressing it over the watercolour. This is a fun way to add extra detail and interest to the background.
I trimmed the paper down to a 6×6 panel then adhered it with liquid glue to a 6×6 card base. Next I glued on some laser cut butterflies and stamped the sentiment in black ink then added Clear Hologram Sparkle embossing powder over the top, which makes the sentiment sparkle in rainbow colours.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this gives you some inspiration to try these new embossing powders
