Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Happy Wednesday Darlings, it’s Jo here from @havefaithincards back with another card to hopefully WOW! you all. This quick and simple card was easy to make, so to find out how, please see the steps below:
- 1. Background – Taking a purple cardstock (I used Woodstock Malva from Papermill Direct) and LDRS Quilted Plaid, I ran the two items together through a die cut machine, and then used a paper trimmer to cut the background layer size. Isn’t the pattern just so pretty!

2. Hearts – I used Time For Tea Designs ‘Lots of Love Vertical’ cover die to create the heart shapes. Taking two scrap pieces of white cardstock, I used WOW!’s Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink to cover the pieces, and sprinkled ‘Metalline Kiwi Krush’ over one and ‘Primary Evergreen’ over the other. I set the powders into place using the Dual Speed heat tool. For the pink hearts, I used WOW!’s ‘Solid Panel’ Fab Foiler with ‘Satin Fuchsia’ Fab Foil and ran both through the laminator. For the Lime Green hearts, I used a cardstock from Papermill Direct.

3. Sentiment – For the sentiment, I took the same cardstock I used for the background, applied embossing ink, sprinkled WOW!’s ‘Primary Royal Purple’ over, and set into place with a heat tool. Once cool, I then used Jane Doodles ‘Hugs’ sentiment die, and ran both through the die cut machine.
4. To Finish – I applied a single layer of foam tape to all the hearts, arranged into the desired colour pattern, removed the backing from the tape, and set them into place on the background layer. I applied two layers of foam tape to the sentiment and set into place.

I hope you enjoy this card, and you can use any colour combination you like! It’s a great way to test out your WOW! powders and fab foils. Make sure to tag WOW! in all your creations using their products.
Crafty Hugs, Jo x
