Melissa Phillips here today to share a handmade Valentine that showcases a heat embossed background using WoW Embossing Powder and the beautiful J’Adore Clear Stamp Set by Marion Emberson.
J’adore You
- I used the Heat Emboss Resist technique to create my background, beginning with a block of white cardstock, WoW Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink Pad, and the WoW J’Adore Clear Stamp. After stamping my background using clear ink, I coated it with WoW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder and heat set if using my WoW Dual Heat Set Tool. This created a beautiful, glossy finished background covered in hearts.
- To add color to my background and make the heat embossed hearts pop, I used Lindy’s Pink Ladies Pink and Merci Beaucoup Mint Flat Sprays. I also sponged a darker shade of pink and blue ink rover the images to deepen the shading just a bit.
- To finish, I added layered hearts, one die cut from vellum and the top cut from pink cardstock. I then used the WoW Love Sentiments Stamp Set to add my sentiment. All that was left was to add some die cut flowers, sequins, and Stickles glitter to add some shimmer and shine.
