Creating the Background
For this project I started out with some simple ink smooshing on watercolor paper for the background using GinaK Design inks in In The Navy, Plum Punch, Wild Lilac, and Lovely Lavender. I then used the brushes to color in darker color around the edges in In The Navy and blended in the purple, cloudy road with Wild Lilac and Lovely Lavender.
Focal Images
On a separate piece of card stock I swiped the WOW! Embossing ink pad directly on the paper and then poured on the new Funky Fossil Blackberry embossing powder, heat it until melted and repeated to have 2 glossy layers of the rich purple. I let that cool then used my Tim Holtz Sizzix die Mischievous to cut our the walking away little cat.
I cut out the moon from my Tim Holtz Sizzix Moonlight die set and lightly colored with some of the Lovely Lavender ink left over on my brush. I then swiped the top layer of my moon with the WOW! Embossing Ink and coated with WOW! Changers Glisten and melted.
Once cooled I glued the two parts of the moon together and assembled the card.
I stamped the sentiments with just some Versafine Clair ink in the color Twilight and mounted the panel to a purple card base.
