Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Happy Wednesday Darlings! It’s Jo here from @havefaithincards with, for me, a surprisingly simple card which lets the Metallic Platinum Sparkle do all the talking! This was my first time testing out the beautiful powder and it is dazzling!
- Using Distress Oxides in ‘Picked Raspberry’ and ‘Wilted Violet’, use a sheet of acetate and swipe the ink pads over. I chose to swipe the pink ink followed by the purple ink. Next, take a water spray bottle and spritz over the inked acetate. Then, taking watercolour cardstock, pat the card onto the acetate, remove, and allow to dry. If you are not happy with the ink transfer, you can always place the card back on the acetate, or re-ink/respray the acetate until the desired result is achieved. Once complete, you can clean you acetate sheet and save for the next use 🙂

2. Taking a scrap piece of white cardstock and WOW! Embossings ‘Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Ink Pad’, ink up the scrap cardstock, and sprinkle ‘Metallic Platinum Sparkle’ embossing powder over. Then, using WOW!s ‘Dual Speed Heat Tool’, set the powder into place. Once set, I used Scrapbook.com’s ‘Love You Heart Script’ die and cut the shape from both foam and the embossed cardstock. I adhered the two layers together using liquid glue.
3. To complete the design, I adhered the ‘Love You’ sentiment, embossed heart, and some hologram hearts to the now dry watercolour base layer.

And there we have it. This card took no time to make but packs so much sparkle and shine. I will definitely be utilising this design in future for any last minute card emergencies. Make sure to tag WOW! Embossing in any of your WOW! designs so that we can show them some love.
Love, Jo x
