Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!
Hello!! It’s Sarah here! Today I’m going to show you how to create a cool multi-layer heat embossing effect for your 3D Embossing Folders.
So I came up with this technique by accident – I was planning on using the heat emboss letter press technique on this card, but when I’d done it, it felt like it needed something else, so I decided to highlight the top layer of the pattern too! Now this will only work with your 3D Embossing folders as you need the extra dimension, but it’s a great way to get more out of them!
To achieve this look, first ink up the embossing folder with embossing ink and run your cardstock through your die-cutting machine to transfer the embossing ink and dry emboss your cardstock. Then you can use the transferred ink to heat emboss the first layer – I used the gorgeous Plum Fizz and The Violetera embossing powders for this. Then, run your brayer over the top of the embossed panel to pick up another layer of the pattern, and heat emboss again! I used silver for this layer!
