Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hey crafty people! It’s Tasha here, for WOW Embossing Powder and today I’m asking the question: Is there ever such a thing as too much embossing?
If you know me at all, you’ll know that my answer will ALWAYS BE NO! 😉😂🙈
So today, I’m sharing some of my card designs that surely Make It WOW!
Crystal Rocks
- Press your WOW Embossing Ink onto an a2 panel of WOW white cardstock, make sure you have good coverage over the entire panel. (Reinkers are absolutely your best friend to make sure you get solid coverage!)
- Cover with Rock Rebel Embossing Sparkles and heat thoroughly from below. If you don’t have the full coverage that you are after, you can repeat the steps to cover with 2 layers. (If memory serves me correctly, this was 2 layers.)
- Die cut cover panel from Neenah 80lb and add foam behind. It can be tricky to adhere to the textured surface of the embossed panel, so add liquid glue onto the foam adhesive, place on top of the panel and then leave to dry with something heavy(ish) on top to make sure you keep good contact as it dries. This should be enough to hold it firmly in place.
- Cut the shadow and wording dies from Neenah 80lb and press the word dies into your WOW ink pad then cover with California Gold embossing Sparkles. Heat set and repeat if needed.
- Adhere the embossed words onto the white shadow and then add onto the panel.
- Add a sub sentiment strip cut from the Sweet Sentiments Fab Foiler pack.
TIP! Take a black marker and run it along the edges of the trimmed white on black sentiments. This will cover the white core of the cardstock and give a much better finish.
Two-For-One Rocks!
- Cover the top 4/5ths (or so) of an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb with WOW Embossing Ink, leaving the edge rough. Add Black Magic embossing powder, heat set from below and repeat for a really solid coverage.
- Die cut your sentiment from the embossed panel, and replace with Neenah 80lb die cuts. (Don’t forget to add the inner bits of the letters to get a single layer again.
- Trim by 1/8th on each side and add to an a2 panel of Gold Pearl cardstock.
- Stamp a sentiment with WOW ink and emboss in Opaque White SuperFine. Cut into a strip with an angled edge and adhere to the card with thin foam adhesive.
- Embellish with White Nuvo Drops (or similar)
Don’t Waste Anything!
- Adhere those embossed letters onto 2-3 white ones to give stability and dimension.
- Repeat stamp a simple pattern (like these stripes) over an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb with Grey ink. To get lighter parts, double stamp without re-inking to get the second generation image.)
- Position the sentiment and adhere with strong liquid glue.
- Embellish with a mix of white, black & matte gold Nuvo Drops (or similar.)
Hope you like these ideas, and drop any questions below!
Stay crafty! Byeee!
