Ombre Stamping With a Touch of WOW

Welcome to WOW! Embossing Powder!

Hi everyone! I’m Alexandra of @rookiecardmaker and I’m the Guest Designer for August! Today I have a fun card featuring some gradient stamping and lots of sparkle!

To start off I stamped this pretty floral wreath using three colours of ink. To get the soft blend between the colours, I applied the ink to the stamp using blending brushes!

I started off with the Grapefruit ink and dabbed it onto the top of the stamp with my blending brush. Then I stamped it down onto the cardstock. Without cleaning off the stamp, I next blended the Honeysuckle ink onto the stamp overlapping slightly with where the Grapefruit ink was applied. When stamped down this gives a nice blend between the peach and the pink inks! I repeated the same steps with the Eggplant ink to finish.

After the gradient stamping was done I cleaned off the stamp but kept it in my stamp positioning tool.

I then stamped over the image with WOW’s Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing ink. I poured over WOW’s Clear Sparkle embossing glitter and heat set it. This gives the gradient stamped image a lovely sparkle!

For the sentiment, I swiped the embossing ink over a scrap of cardstock and poured over Disco Ball embossing glitter. After heat setting this I have created some custom glitter cardstock! I die cut this with Happy Birthday dies and adhered these to my cardfront to finish the card.
