Detailed Background Stamping

Hello crafty friends! My name is Peggy Emmerink and welcome to my first card and blog post for WOW embossing! I was thrilled to be asked as a creative guest and hope to inspire you with my cards. Let’s get started!  

I started by cutting two panels, one larger one from kraft cardstock and a slightly smaller stitched rectangle from some white cardstock fit for ink blending. I masked off a section in the middle and also used some masking tape to create a little ‘ground’ for my foxes to stand on. I blended the grassy patch with Distress Oxides in Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness. I masked off the ground and blended the sky with Distress Oxides in Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Kitsch Flamingo.

I removed the masking tape and placed the ink blended panel into my stamping tool. I stamped this beautiful heart outline stamp (by Studio Light) over my ink blended area with WOW embossing ink. I placed my panel over a piece of scrap paper and poured my WOW embossing powder in Polished Gold to cover the sticky ink. I used the WOW heat tool to melt the powder onto my card.

Lastly, I stamped my sweet fox images from the My Favorite Things ‘Let’s Curl Up’ stamp set and colored them with my copic markers. I added some accents with white gel pen. Lastly, I took another piece of kraft cardstock, stamped the sentiment in the same WOW sticky ink and heat embossed using WOW embossing powder in Opaque Bright White Super Fine. I adhered everything with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.
